W.I.P. ADD

So many ideas so little time!!!

Ever get excited about starting a new project? Then weeks later...you come across an awesome pattern and you decided to start it just to see how it looks? Then a few days later you're at the yarn store and you come across this beautiful skein of yarn that you have to make it into something beautiful?
Before you know it, you're surrounded by half finished projects.
This is what I call my WIP ADD= Work In Progress ADD.
I have so many ideas and I get easily distracted.
Don't get me wrong there are times when I don't move from my couch all day and can't hear anything when I'm working on a new pattern.
My husband will leave in the morning and I am just starting a foundation chain. He comes home and I am counting the chains between tr shells. He says "Hey babe" and I say "3,4,5."
Hahaha. You know what I'm talking about!!

So how do I focus on one project at a time? How do I decided which to finish and which to put to the side? Well if I'm making something for someone I usually try to get that done before touching anything else. However if I'm just randomly making something because I love the pattern...its hard not to get distracted.

So what do you do? Do you have WIP ADD? Share with me. I'd love to hear from you.

Here are a few pics of some of my WIPs:

Blanket for baby

Endless Granny Square Throw

This was going to be a flower halter top

But it didn't work out

So I started a new pattern

A pineapple tank top

Booties for baby

Baby beanie for a friend

What do you guys think? Let me know. Hopefully I will have some finish pictures for you all in a few weeks.

Have a great week! Be blessed!! Love to create!!

The Gift

Hello Loves!

I think we forget how lucky we are as women!
We get to be apart of the amazing gift of bringing another human into the world.

Made through love, this little being comes into our lives and is totally dependent on us.
To them we are their world...they look to us for love, warmth, food, guidance. They only know how to love us, despite what we think of ourselves, all they know is that we are theirs.
They developed within us...their lives depended on our lives.

This is truly a gift that the Lord has given us. Think about how strong we are to have an actual human being growing inside of us, becoming their own person.
Sometimes we don't always make it through...sometimes we suffer a loss but we never give up.
How strong are we that we can try again. Whether we make it through the first time or this is our second, third time, we give our bodies over to the gift of carrying another.
Whatever fear we may have will not stop us, what ever obstacles we may face will not deter us.

As I enter into my 30th week of pregnancy and feel the movements of my son, I become overwhelmed with joy of being blessed by the Lord with this gift. I thank Him for allowing me to be apart of something truly amazing.

We have been given the gift of motherhood, rebirth but remember the world was given the gift of women.
Know that you are a gift, live like you are special because you are. We are important! We are here to love, nurture, support and to live life beyond ourselves.

Me at 28 weeks

Here are a few pictures of dresses I made and sold this past week. My first time making dresses and I loved them!

Don't Get Distracted

 Hello loves!
Sometimes we are faced with things in our life that can distract us for the blessings that we have received from the Lord.
For example...your car breaking down, an expensive AC repair, a leak that ruined your newly installed wood floors, or even the lost of a job. The enemy uses these things, big or small, to try to distract us from the amazing things that the Lord is doing for us.
Trust that the Lord has made provisions for you.
Before you get upset or feel hurt think about what the Lord has done for you.
Hold on to the fact the He loves you and is always with you.

Trust me, being home on bed rest has not been the easiest however, the Lord has blessed me with a husband, family and church that have supported me through this time.
I have been given another chance to be a mother, the greatest gift in the world and I am truly thankful for all these things, the good and the bad, because they only bring me closer to the Lord.

BE BLESSED, STAY FOCUS and CREATE WHAT YOU LOVE!!!

Hello Hello

It is crazy how time flies!
So much has happened since my last post. As of today I am 26 1/2 weeks pregnant! Yay! Unfortunately I have been put on bed rest...well more like couch rest. Yes, I guess its not as easy this time around as it was 13 years ago when I had my daughter. But by the grace of God we are here and our baby boy is growing nicely. Every week we get to is truly a blessing.

I had to take off from work but fortunately it has given me more time to do what I love...crochet!! It was pretty hard working, going to school and taking care of the fam while trying to finish any WIP, which I'm sure you all can relate to. Now I have all the time to focus on one project at a time and actually complete it. While our baby is developing so are some beautiful project!!

Here are a few of my finish projects.

This is a blanket and beanie I made for our baby boy...pattern from redheart.com

This is an endless granny square blanket I made for my goddaughter...she's been waiting almost a year for this!

Poncho I made for my neice...pattern from lionbrand.com

and last a slouchy hat I made for my cousin...pattern also from redheart.com

Stay tuned for belly shots and my new WIP... another blanket for baby.

Ta ta and smooches!
